Awful laughable experience

My husband and I visited H & T Floorworld Shepparton this week. An interesting experience; to say the least. We were greeted by Mick ( I assume it was Mick in any case the bald guy probably the manager) who asked if he could assist so I explained why we were in store. We are starting the process of building a new house and wanted to have a look in a few stores at the range of flooring on display. I was then arrogantly told that Floorworld Shepparton do not hold the contract with our Builder (the Ballarat store does) and therefore they would be unable to assist as it is "wasting their time because there is no sale in it for them." It was said so rudely that I honestly thought the guy was joking!! After a few awkward seconds of staring at each other I was still unsure. So I replied that's fine and said that we would just a have a look around ..... Only to be told that "its a waste of their time and no its NOT okay for you to look around" I stated I guess I would not be using their company for flooring for our other home either then and was promptly told "we dont need your business we are very busy" I have never visited a retail store whereby you are not allowed to look around. My husband stated thats the first time he has ever been asked to leave a store. Its very clear he is just trying to make money so I would recommend anyone to get some other quotes so they dont rip you off. Personally, i would even rather pay a bit more ELSEWHERE for some sort of customer service and knowing if there is a problem with the quality you can talk to them. Just go in there and meet the guy and you'll see what I mean. On the drive home I had a laugh though. -I realised that for a "very busy store" we were actually the only people there. and I now know why the Shepparton store does NOT have the contract !
