I bought two dresses for a wedding (one ankle length the other cocktail length) - both required some minor adjustments to be wearable. The cocktail length required the spaghetti straps to be taken up in the front (thus fixing the problem). They were taken up in the back. Now the dress can't be worn as the front remains too low, the back has now been raised by 2 inches so the hemline is uneven. The ankle length dress required 3 catches on the cowl neck - as the lady was pinning them, she pinned me and removed the catch, after assuring me it would be matched to the other side - which neither were consequently sewn in - leaving one catch which didn't fix the problem. When this was addressed, she blamed me for these problems in a loud, argumentative manner and was told to leave. I ended up leaving in tears, with an unwearable cocktail dress which I had paid for the alterations. There were no apologies and no refunds. I would definitely expect better service - especially from the manager! I had put jeans in at the same time as dresses which hadn't been finished at the time I picked up the dresses. I was called and 'asked' rather rudely by the manager to pick them up as she refused to do them. When I went to pick them up, I asked about a resolution for my ruined dresses and she called security and told "take them, here is your refund for the jeans, don't come back".
