Set on the banks of the Tyenna River on the edge of Mount Field National Park, Russell Falls Cottages offers a uniquely Tasmanian wilderness experience, starting at the bottom of the garden. Spot pademelons and possums at dusk, and take the footbridge across the river to stroll through lush temperate rainforest leading to the iconic Russell Falls. Venture to the spectacular alpine environs of the Mount Field Plateau, and take a boardwalk though some of the tallest trees on earth at the Styx Big Tree Reserve. Or simply fly-fish one of the world’s premier trout streams.
