Counselling psychology addresses both normal developmental issues and problems associated with physical, emotional and mental disorders. The counselling service integrates theory, research and practice along with sensitivity to multicultural issues.? Our services are supported by medicare and Private Health Medicare Rebates: Please check if you are eligible to access rebates. Our counselling sessions are supported by Medicare when you have a referral from your GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician. You can have Medicare rebates for 10 sessions when your GP gives you a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). To get a referral you will need to make an appointment with your GP and complete a Mental Health Care Plan. It would help if you can tell the GP’s receptionist that you want a referral to a Psychologist as it takes about 30mins for the doctor to discuss this with you.
