Worst service ever

I stopped at this cafe with my toddler for a quick snack. It would be the worst customer service I have ever had. When I went to pay the owner - cook said do I have my table docket- I said no but I would check if I had missed it on the table, he then turned around and ignored me. I went back to the table but there was no docket so then I went back to the counter and said there was nothing on my table. The owner then spoke harshly to the waiter and he got the docket from him. The owner then turned his back on me again, got something out of the fried, yelled at the waiter and flug a dirty dish across to the dishwasher and then ran up my bill. I took a bit of time getting out my money as I wanted to use my change. The owner then walked away before I could hand it to him and went back to cooking. I understand he was busy with cooking and he also was doing all the drink orders, the waiter only served food for some reason. I waited and waited for the owner to take money but he kept ignoring me. When the waiter walked past I asked if I could pay and his reply was that he was not allowed to do that! Icalled out to the owner to get his attention (by then I just felt like leaving, all the owner needed to do was politely ask me to wait a minute). He finally came to take my money saying I took to long and he was busy with food orders. He didn't say thanks or sorry to keep you waiting - he was very abrupt and made me feel that it was an inconvenience. I have never eaten at a place and experienced such poor service and manners. Customers are the bread and butter. The cook should not be touching money like he was and then handling food without washing his hands. The burger I had tasted like it had just been reheated in a microwave and the chips were dry and old. It takes a poor cook to ruin a burger! I have since seen that this cafe is for sale- I can understand why. In a small populated area, a cafe as this one you would assume relies on repeat business. If you want bad service and dismal food then this is an ideal cafe!

Master

Over the past couple of months I have eaten at this cafe twice and on both occasions have been served food on chipped crockery, with the second time it happened it being a large chip. after complaining on both occasions to the owner, I received what amounted to a don't care and flippant attitude. I even informed the owner on the second occasion that it is illegal to use chipped crockery in a public eating establishment. his response was typical of the attitude that has been adopted by this business, for he remarked that he know that but blamed it on the careless handling of the staff when washing the dishes. this excuse is unforgivable. The management of the cafe need to change their attitude or get Gordon Ramsay into the place to show them how to be professional and instruct them in doing the right thing.
