Tiles have long been seen as not only practical and functional, but also as a status symbol. Imported tiles adorned the houses of the wealthy throughout Asia, as Eastern architecture began assimilating European tiles into their overall design. Our journey first began with H&R Johnson Tiles, which was founded in Cobridge, Stoke-on-Trent, by the Johnson family in 1901 in England. As it grew, the winds of expansion brought Johnson Tiles to set up its first Australian venture in 1963, followed by Malaysia in 1977. While our roots trace back over a hundred years, Johnson Tiles continue to integrate the latest manufacturing techniques and machinery to cater for the variety of our customers’ requirements throughout Southeast Asia and beyond. Our strength is in the operations. We believe that quality and reliability are the cornerstones of our brand, and as such, we operate and maintain our own state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Malaysia.
